Sebago
The Sebago region covers the connected lake system northwest of Portland: Sebago Lake itself, the Songo River, Brandy Pond and Long Lake, plus the smaller ponds around them. It is the largest body of navigable fresh water in southern Maine and it is within an hour of the city, which is why it is as busy as it is.
Naples and the causeway are the working centre; the Raymond and Windham shores of Sebago hold most of the rest. The Songo Lock is the link between the two halves and the thing that shapes how boats move around the system.
