NH Lakes

New Hampshire's Lakes Region is Winnipesaukee plus everything around it — Winnisquam, Squam, Ossipee, Newfound and Sunapee to the west. Winnipesaukee dominates entirely: it holds most of the boats, nearly all of the marinas, and effectively all of the region's service and storage capacity.

The lakes are not connected to each other in any way that matters to a boat, so each one is its own self-contained water with its own ramps, its own fuel, and its own local knowledge about where the rocks are. Winnisquam is the exception — it connects to Winnipesaukee through the Weirs Channel and Paugus Bay.
