Naples

Naples sits on the causeway between Long Lake and Brandy Pond, which makes it the working centre of the Sebago–Long Lake chain: several marinas within a mile of each other and the only real concentration of fuel and service on the northern half of the system. Boats moving between Sebago and Long Lake pass through Naples via the Songo River and the hand-cranked Songo Lock — figure an hour from open water to open water, and expect a line on July weekends.

The season runs mid-May to mid-October. The causeway anchorage is busy and shallow near shore, so most transient traffic ties up rather than anchors.
