Kennebunk River
The Kennebunk River is a narrow tidal creek that happens to have a resort town on it. From the sea buoy it is a short run in, and the marinas sit within walking distance of Dock Square — which is the whole appeal and the reason space is booked well ahead in summer.
It is a tight river. Current runs hard on the tide, turning room is limited, and the approach over the bar wants respect in any onshore swell. Boats that fit are very well placed; boats that are long or deep should call first rather than arrive and find out.
Season is short and firmly summer — most of the dockage here comes out well before the coast further east does.
